Lisa and Myles wedding- Swallows Oast, Ticehurst

Well, the 2016 wedding season is well under way now, and to say I am having an absolutely fantastic time is an understatement. I have already witnessed so much this year and we are only in July, so who knows how crazy good the rest of the year will be.

I was over the moon when Lisa and Myles booked me last year to photograph their wedding. It’s always great working with local couples, getting to know them better in the build up to their wedding day. I went across to their home to meet Lisa and the bridal party for prep.  I like the personal touch that this type of location offers for prep, capturing details that show the connection between the bride and groom. I have to say I think I am going to be an emotional wreck by the end of this year, the first look between Lisa and her father was without a doubt one of the most beautiful moments I have witnessed and had the pleasure to capture as a photographer.

My colleague met with Myles at their local church in the little village of Hildenborough. As the guests descended upon the venue, the tension and excitement was building, as everyone waited for Lisa’s arrival.

After the ceremony we headed across to Swallows Oast in Ticehurst, a very cool venue that is bursting with colour and loveliness. Everyone made their way down to the little woodland for drinks. One thing I can certainly say about this year is the weather is like a cinema bag of  pick ‘n’ mix sweets, sunny one minute and then the most dramatic storm clouds the next, so how it didn’t rain I do not know.

The whole day was such a pleasure to have been part of, and we had some great fun during the party time, we even managed to get out in the evening for some night shots.

Thank you again Lisa and Myles, it was a blast.
