Catherine and Sam’s Wedding- Château Mas de Montet, France

This summer I photographed the beautiful Château Mas de Montet wedding of Catherine and Sam. The Château is a gem of a place hidden away in the idyllic French countryside, and just a stones throw away from the quaint town of Aubeterre- sur-Dronne, which has been officially listed as “One of the most beautiful villages in France,” since 1993, so well worth a visit.

I first met Catherine and Sam while photographing their friends wedding a few years back. It’s always so lovely photographing weddings that have the same friendship groups, building up those relationships and always being made to feel so welcome.

I arrived at the Château mid Friday afternoon, ready to meet and greet everyone, have some nice food and document the pool party, which was awesome, and so well deserved as it was scorching hot.

I have a real love affair with France and it’s pretty countryside, after spending a good few years visiting my folks who moved out there, actually to the same area as the Château. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the romantic day dreams of travelling through the country, camera in hand ready to snap away. And snap away I did.

It really was a joy seeing Catherine and Sam throughout the wedding day with their family and friends, the time and effort that had gone into the wedding by everyone involved was off the scale and the day flowed effortlessly.

Catherine and  Sam, I really can’t thank you both enough for asking me to photograph your wedding day, it is something that I am truly grateful for and a time that I will never forget. I hope the photographs have done the wedding justice.
