Cicely and Max – The Gardens, Yalding, Kent.

What a pleasure it was spending the day with Cicley and Max for their pretty Kent wedding in the countryside. Photographing at The Gardens always get’s the creativity flowing, being surrounded by the outdoors and beautiful scenery, it’s a perfect backdrop to a wedding.

I first met Cicely and Max last year when they invited me over to their family farm, and I also got to meet their sweet little girl. As a father myself I think it’s such a special thing to be able to have your children at your wedding, they can bring a real magic to the day, and to have those moments to look back on when they are all grown up is a priceless treasure.

The day started meeting Cicely and her bride tribe for prep at The Gardens. It’s always great seeing the hive of activity going on through the morning and watching the venue really coming together. Being a May wedding there was plenty of Spring bloom around, and oh my goodness the flowers on the day, so heavenly and expertly set up and designed by Fleurista.

A moment that I have really become rather fond of photographing is when the bride put’s the dress on for the first time. The most intimate moment which could not be captured with empathy if the trust between us was not there, it’s also a moment that usually has me blubbering behind the camera. Cicely looked amazing in her dress and she was greeted with the most heart felt moment by her family and bridesmaids.

After the ceremony the day continued with Cicely and Max spending time with their family and friends, with lot’s of cuddles and laughter, exactly how a wedding should be.

Cicely and Max, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day.
