Colin and Claire’s wedding- Shepperton Film Studio, Shepperton
I was excited like you wouldn’t believe when Claire and Colin booked me to photograph their wedding day. Firstly because they are 2 of the loveliest people that I have met, and made me feel so welcome, and secondly because their wedding was being held at Shepperton Film studio’s. I am a complete geek when it comes to films, and Littleton House has been in a ton of big films.
I arrived at Shepperton early morning to meet Claire and her bridesmaids for prep. The place had been beautifully decorated, with all of the lovely little personal touches that Claire and Colin had added. I especially liked the old childhood photographs that they had put on the centre pieces of the tables. My colleague met with Colin and his best man, and also their lucky gnome for groom prep (keep a look out for the gnome in this gallery)
As the guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric, with so many hugs and smiles and the sound of laughter echoing throughout. There were photo opportunities everywhere, it was quite overwhelming, in a very good way.
When Claire walked down the stairs to the ceremony, my heart was literally in my mouth, so god only knows how Colin felt. The ceremony was just beautiful, and such a joy to have witnessed.
Afterwards we headed outside, no rain which was great. Something that I have been working hard to capture this year is the comedy element to a wedding day. There are so many funny moments throughout the day that have me in complete stitches, again watch for the gnome 🙂
Shepperton has a beautiful little woodland, so we went here for some bride and groom shots, and just as we started, we were blessed with the most gorgeous light. After some tearful and funny speeches, it was party time, and my goodness did this party hit the roof, so much fun.
I can’t quite believe that I am writing this blog, time just seems to be speeding by, and I could happily go back and photograph Colin and Claire’s wedding all over again.
Thank you for inviting me into your lives, it has been an absolute pleasure.
