Fran and Tom’s Wedding- St Augustine’s priory, Kent
Fran and Tom’s wedding, what a great way to spend the afternoon, in the beautiful summer sun, surrounded by great people in a fantastic venue, St Augustine’s Priory in Kent. It was my first time working here, and without a doubt I would go back in a heartbeat. It had all of the rustic quality that Fran and Tom wanted in their venue. The ceremony room too is pretty amazing, it has a church feel about it, with lots of exposed brick work.
I met with Fran and her girls for bridal prep, while my colleague met with Tom and the boys and the crazy cool car they arrived in, which incidentally then broke down, luckily at the venue and not on the way to the venue 🙂
It was a very warm afternoon and you could really feel the excitement from the guests in the anticipation of seeing Fran for the first time.
After Fran and Tom’s very lovely ceremony, we headed outside for some mingling and laughter. This is a great part of the day and as a documentary wedding photographer, I love the challenge of capturing the little moments between guests, a hug, a kiss, maybe even a tear or two.
Later in the afternoon we headed to a nearby field for some bride and groom portraits, and was blessed with some of the evening summer light.
Thanks Fran and Tom for an absolutely perfect afternoon.
